Veteran; useful dual-purpose horse in prime; no win since making all at Pontefract (2m2f) last spring and still seeking first AW win; placed under Margot Scudamore over 9.5f here (150-1) in December, but less productive over further since.
Yet to win on the Flat (0-12), finishing last of twelve (beaten 30l) over 1m4f here on Boxing Day; did spring a 33-1 surprise over hurdles at Bangor last September, but it's difficult to build a reasoned case on return from a four-month absence; look elsewhere.
Beaten 6-4 favourite (runner-up, by 8l) in this contest in 2022, but posted various solid efforts back here later that year, including when reeling-in Genesius (over 1m4f); off for 536-days since, so fitness taken on trust; maximum respect is afforded to the trainer/jockey combination in these events.
Three-time Tapeta winner (2m; Newcastle and Southwell (twice)) who sits just below his last winning mark; on the premises (fourth) on last two visits to Newcastle (12.5f-2m), so shouldn't be far away if taking the switch to Wolverhampton (first visit) in his stride; Simon Walker a positive booking.
Veteran; dual C&D winner, narrowly prevailed at odds of 14-1 in this race last year (same mark); lacklustre effort (beaten 62l) when last in competitive action in June; enough questions to answer on return.
Won three-times over hurdles in October 2022 for Fergal O'Brien; yet to win on the Flat (0-16), but merit to her previous C&D efforts (form figures 293); usually leads, although was patiently ridden when a staying-on third at Bath (1m6f, good) last time; possibilities.
Campaigned exclusively over fences since the summer of 2020, and absent since finishing fourth of eight at Stratford (2m4f; beaten 18.5l) last summer; 0-12 on the Flat, with this being his first appearance on the level since October 2019; tough to consider.
No win since June 2021, but she's fallen a long way in the weights since; her third-place finish at Kempton (2m; 40-1) in January was respectable, and she was also runner-up in a selling handicap hurdle at Fakenham (2m, soft, 2-1 favourite) a few weeks later; not out of it.
Moderate record over jumps (2-31) and has failed to complete in two attempts over fences this year; no reason to anticipate that he can prove competitive on first Flat start since August 2018.
